I would like to get a gym membership, I am waiting for the new YMCA to be built, which will open in a few months because for students its only $12 a month.. I am looking for an alternative untill it opens, which is Anytime Fitness. It is around $40 a month but do you have to sign up for a certain length of time?

What i mean is, I would like to create my own gym in my new house using the same, heavy duty equipment and machines that say ‘In Shape or 24hour Fitness’ uses in their clubs. I am a bodybuilder and so are other family and friends i have and i would like to spend a lot of money for my own fitness paradise so to speak. I’m seriouse on this, i have a guest house on my property that is about 3,000 sf. and I’m just gonna nock all the walls down. put some support beams up and put down fitness flooring, and i don’t know were to get any of that either. so can somebody please help me on this.

look in your yellow pages directory for gym equipment ,im sure you will find same and at a cheaper price.

I heard on the BBC that the Government operates a scheme to help people with cardiac problems to join Health and Fitness clubs in order to be able to participate in exercise.

Can anyone tell me the name of the scheme? Is it part of the NHS?

At the moment it’s for cardiac rehabilitation only, but there are moves afoot to extend it to prescribing exercise to high risk individuals on the NHS.

I am a student at Kean. This summer I will be taking a few classes, but will have quite a bit of time in between. I would like to know if I am allowed to use the fitness center. If so, is there a fee?
I’d like answers only from people who know specifically about Kean, since different universities have different rules. Thanks!

I work at a college and the fitness center is open to any students currently enrolled. Stop by the center and verify, but I would like to think any student, not just athletes can use the facility.

Your tuition should cover the cost, thereby making it free to use.
