How do you get an athletic v shaped body?

I’ve admired the athletic type body with big shoulders, ripped arms and abs, and the big chest and well developed back. I need a workout routine that I could do to attain such a body. I’m currently doing plyometrics and running to bring my body fat down.

What is a major close to athletic training?

I’m an athletic training major right now. I’m starting my junior year this fall. I am sick of the athletic training program. Its a long story but I want to change my major and want it to be close to the same field. I’m thinking about exercise physiology. Any suggestions?

Similar field, gives you many options for careers; you could go into the field of nutrition, strength and conditioning, exercise & fitness journalism, personal training, and with more schooling, education or research.

I was an Athletic Training major for two years; I also got sick of the program and the amount of clinical hours I had to put into it. Spending 25 hours a week in a clinic without getting paid is a terrible way to spend your time as an undergraduate major. In exercise science, you can do a one semester internship instead!

At the gym with Chris: excerpts from my 9am workout with my personal trainer, Chris Gates.
Pre-workout breakfast: 1 1/2 scrambled eggs and one piece of low-fat turkey bacon. Post-workout sugary snack: watermelon slices. I missed the pre-workout carbs because it was an early session and I didn’t have time to juice with getting the kids ready for school. I’ll probably juice this afternoon between lunch and dinner. NOTE: my very cute videographer and husband, Justin, ran THREE MILES today during my workout… a personal best. I’m so proud of him :)
