Does an employee at a fitness faculity need to be on duty 24 hours a day at a 24 hour center?
no. i worked for a library that was open 24 hours & there was staff there for all 24 hours, but each employee didn’t have to be on duty 24 hours.

What do you mean on duty? Someone needs to be at the front desk 24/7, but yeah if you are, for example playing basketball, no one will pass by 3 AM. I like it, everything is quiet…

It would be kind of stupid to leave the place open with no employees about. Not the kind of thing you really need the law to tell them.
But laws vary from place to place and there may be some places that require this.
